The New Media Institute (NMI) is a research and fact finding organization whose mission is to improve public understanding of issues surrounding the Internet and other forms new media communications. NMI works directly with the news media, researchers, academics, government and industry professionals and serves as a primary resource of facts, statistics and analysis.

The New York-based New Media Institute is now accepting applications for those interested in writing for the New Media Institutes New Media News, located at www.newmedia.org. This would be a part time non-paid contributor position. Writer may work from home with monthly meeting with Senior Editor.
Qualifications:
Current journalism undergrad or graduate student.
Minimum of 3 years writing experience.
Independent, reliable self starter.
Duties:
Seek out new media related news topics and post on website using Article Live.
Write original articles educating the public on current and innovative uses of new media.
Help guide the direction of the Web site in terms of content categories.
Organize, coordinate and drive content production of outside content contributors.
Duties will be carried out under the supervision of NMI executive staff.
